Announcements

Announcements updated:  5/02/2024

Trawl areas within 1B-22A with early opening observer requirements have met the crab bycatch sampling criteria required to remain open for the season. Trawl area 1B-20B has not yet been sampled and requires observer coverage on the first trawl trip into the area if the trip takes place before June 16th. 

2024 Puget Sound commercial pot and trawl shrimp seasons are open. Please refer to your pre-season packet information for further details. For pot fishers, be sure to indicate your intended fishing areas with the declaration reporting tool linked below. 

Current Emergency Rule:  WSR-24-10-061 Effective 05/01/24

Commercial pot harvesters must declare their intent to fish their desired quota area before setting gear. Please use the Declaration Form.

Electronic Fish Ticket Reporting is mandatory. Please visit the WA-Tix Website for additional information.
