WDFW Beach Season Information

Clam, mussel, and oyster seasons OPEN for harvest year-round.

WDFW shellfish seasons indicate the specific times of year when harvesting is permitted. Before heading to the beach, please also check the Department of Health (DOH) information below which is related to health of the shellfish and may be updated daily. To harvest on this beach, it must be both during the WDFW approved season and approved by the DOH.

Harvest profile

This beach has populations of horse clams, butter clams and native littleneck clams.
There are some oysters present at Salsbury Point County Park, but they are not abundant.

Directions

From Kingston proceed west on SR 104 to Port Gamble. Salsbury Point County Park is located one mile west of Port Gamble on Wheeler Street. The road to the park is well marked on the highway.

Facilities

Facilities at Salsbury Point County Park inlcude restrooms (seasonal), picnic tables, drinking fountains, and playground equipment. There is a public boat ramp and dock (seasonal) on site.
